New faces at Continued Care as Ripon and Thirsk team expands

We are delighted to welcome some new members to our team as our home care services in the Ripon and Thirsk area continue to grow.

Karla Bishop-Loach is our new Care Service Manager and brings years of experience working with children, families and people with additional needs. Her previous role was as Head of Care for adults with additional needs in a residential and educational capacity. Prior to this, she worked for local government for 27 years.

Karla said: “I’m excited to join Continued Care’s growing team in Ripon and Thirsk. I am enjoying meeting my colleagues, learning the ropes, and getting out and about visiting our service users.”

We also welcome three new carers: Scarlett Chatten, Emma Brodie and Nikki Brown. They are all highly experienced, and we are delighted that they have chosen to join us here at Continued Care.

Meanwhile, two of our outstanding carers, Emma Ayton and Terrie Cass, have received promotions. Emma moves from our Harrogate office, where she has worked for many years, to take up a new role as Principal Carer covering Ripon and Thirsk. Terrie, meanwhile, has been promoted to Assistant Principal Carer. Congratulations to them both!

It is a year since we expanded to Thirsk and opened an office in Sutton-under-Whitestonecliffe. Since that time, our service has grown so rapidly in the direction of Ripon that it made sense for us to relocate our office there. We are now also looking to offer home care services in Northallerton and possibly Easingwold. In addition, our well-established home care services in the Harrogate and Knaresborough district, and in Settle, continue to thrive.

Continued Care’s director, Samantha Harrison, said: “We couldn’t be happier to promote Emma and Terrie to their new roles with our growing team in Ripon and Thirsk, and to welcome Karla, Scarlett, Emma and Nikki. As a company providing care to people in their own homes, it’s vital that we have such friendly, caring and dedicated staff members who genuinely want to make a difference to the lives of our service users.”

Continued Care offers flexible home care services across Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon, Thirsk and Settle. Services range from 15-minute pop-in visits to 24-hour live-in support for older adults, people living with dementia, younger disabled adults, adults with a learning disability, and children. The company also provides respite care and support for people discharged from hospital.
