Corporate Social Responsibilty

As a team living and working every day with people in our local communities, we recognise the importance of building trusted and fruitful relationships with local organisations. This allows to offer the very best care to the people who use our service, enabling us to signpost them on to organisations who can help fulfil their needs.

We are delighted to contribute positively to local charities and we work in partnership with the voluntary sector. We are committed to maintaining effective relationships with our local communities and aim to promote a positive partnership.

Charities and voluntary organisations we support:

Saint Michael's Hospice

This Harrogate-based hospice is a charity close to our hearts due to our shared caring ethos and the important role it plays in providing support to people affected by terminal illness within the wider Harrogate community.

We are members of the Saint Michael’s 500 club for small and medium-sized businesses, giving £600 each year to support the charity’s aim of offering more care to more people.

Springboard is the day service offered by the Harrogate Homeless Project to give people in the area a safe place to recuperate, refuel and recharge.

We regularly support the service with fundraising activities, and match any funds raised up to £100 by our employees.

In 2015 we matched over £900 of our employees’ fundraising efforts.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance provides an amazing rapid response air emergency service to five million people across four million acres. It operates two air ambulances and two rapid response vehicles, with paramedics and doctors seconded from the NHS.

We are delighted to be supporting the Yorkshire Air Ambulance as our Charity of the Year for 2023 as it relies purely on donations to fund its service. We’ll be hosting and taking part in lots of fundraising events as well as raising awareness of the organisation’s amazing work.

Resurrected Bites

We are delighted to be partnering with this amazing local organisation to provide the lunches at our Social Day Clubs in Harrogate and Knaresborough.

Resurrected Bites works with local businesses and suppliers to divert good quality food from landfill and convert it into meals in their ‘pay-as-you-can’ cafes in Harrogate, Knaresborough and Killinghall.

They also support families struggling with hardship by providing food through their community groceries scheme.

Waste Not Wednesday

We are working with Waste Not Wednesday to provide the lunches at our Ripon Social Day Club.

This fantastic initiative from local organisation Ripon Community House aims to reduce food waste while helping local families in need. It takes donated surplus food from local supermarkets, allotments and gardeners and freshly makes healthy and delicious meals for those who need them.

They also offer for a range of dried and tinned goods, fresh fruit and vegetables, baby food and much more for a small contribution.
